Oaxaca, Mexico Mission Trip
Upcoming Mission Trip November 4-12
We will send an adult mission team to work with Covenant Missionaries, Dr. Cindy Hoover and JoEllen Reaves, in the Semillas de Salud Program. Semilas provides church and school public health screenings and education.
Deadline to sign up is August 15.
Another team will go June 22-30, 2012 which allows those with greater availability in the summer to participate. The focus of this group will be determined by the interests and talents of the group members.

Our annual summer high school mission trip
was comprised of these students and adults, who went to Thunder Bay in Ontario, Canada and volunteered with Youthworks this past summer.
Our 2011 summer mission trip: Chicago (June 4-11)
Kansas City mission trip during this past Spring Break, was a wonderful opportunity for our middle and high schoolers to work with many individuals and ministries. Days were spent working with these groups: Harvesters, City Union Missions and Operation Breakthrough.
Local Mission Projects
BackSnack Program
BackSnack Program fills and delivers 90 backpacks each week to three Bonner Springs elementary schools. Sign up at the Welcome Center to fill the backpacks with food OR pick-up and deliver the backpacks. Sign up as a group, family or individual.
Feed My Starving Children
On Saturday, July 24th Harvest Ridge had over 30 people of all ages participate in Feed My Starving Children. 26,000 meals were packed by our shift (which included many other groups from the KC area). These food packs will be shippped to Nicaragua. www.fmsc.org
Relief Kits for Haiti
Our middle school class collected relief kits for Haiti this year to be distributed by Heart to Heart, International. They were studying the Body of Christ in their lessons, and each person contributed one part of the kit, which together made up a whole.
Blue Grass & Pancake Dinner
An old-fashioned Pancake Dinner & Blue Grass Concert was held earlier this year. It was a great evening to listen to a variety of country and gospel music, as we enjoyed a Pancake Dinner to raise money for our Benevolent Fund.
