Joseph and Mary followed the Law for poor people
Simeon praised God and prophesied about Jesus
Anna gave thanks to God and spoke about Jesus
Explanation of vv. 30-32
Revelation: something revealed by God that we would not otherwise have seen
Gentile: anyone who is not a Jew
v.32 Jesus came to bring light to everyone
Acts 13:47 Paul says God sent them to be a light for the Gentiles and to bring salvation to the ends of the earth
God is gathering a kingdom of people from the whole world
