2 CORINTHIANS: Reconciled Together
2 Corinthians 1:12 – 2:13

Paul pursues reconciliation with the Corinthians by:
• Assuring them of his godly intentions (vv. 12-14, 1:23 – 2:1) and heartfelt
love (2:2-4)
• Grounding their unity and relationship in the faithfulness of God and his
promises (vv. 15-22)
• Seeking the restoration of the guilty party and reminding the church of its true
enemy (2:5-11)

Questions:
• In your interactions or conflicts with another Christian, would you say you
were operating from godly intentions and love for that person? If “yes,” have
you tried to make that clear to them? If “no,” is there someone you need to
seek their forgiveness?
• Are you someone who easily gives the benefit-of-the-doubt to other Christians
when they offend or upset you? Or, are you quick to judge their hearts
negatively?
• Has anyone ever assumed the worst about your heart and misunderstood your
intentions? How did reconciliation come about?
• Do you view the intentions or motivations of people different from you (such
as, different theological beliefs, political convictions, cultural values, etc.)
more harshly than of people who are more like you?
• Is there anyone in your life that would be awkward or uncomfortable sitting
next to at the banquet table of heaven? What steps should you take to reconcile
the relationship.

Sending Word || 2 Corinthians 5:18-19, “All this is from God, who reconciled us
to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God
was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against
them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.”
